The Silver Bullet

Its a wonderful feeling to wake up on a Saturday morning and know that your going to spend a good few hours with a Subaru, well to me at least. My first encounter with Sabir Esufaly's Impreza was in a basement car park. You could hear this beast almost 2 floors above the car park. I was completely mesmerized by it. Better yet the sound belonged to (in my view) the cleanest Impreza in Sri Lanka.

Cleanliness is next to godliness they say and this just takes the cake. Yeah, you could eat the cake on it if you dared to.

But i wouldn't advice you doing that, because this car has been well cared for. For a daily driver its immaculate, and i like that. I like that a lot!

The owner of this car was invited to the Funk Master Flex car show because of his stunning 350Z that he used to own when he was in the US. So this Subaru has been given the same treatment, and its a true stunner.

The exterior has been kept bone stock, which is a good thing.

Those wheels might be just 16' but they suit the simple but muscular lines of the Impreza. How can you not love a side profile like that eh?

Simply gorgeous. Lost for words here actually.

Another look at those cool rims, and the big brakes hiding behind. STI 5 brakes to be exact. The car has also  got a aftermarket suspension system courtesy of D2.

It needs a big scoop this car, at the moment Sabir is running an STI 3 RA engine and a RA gearbox as well. It has also got this old school HKS Supersound dump valve that makes quite a loud whooshing sound that is to die for!

Lovely decal this had on the boot lid.

Some D2 appreciation.

Nice touch on the Number plate! Oh did i mention the lovely noise that exhaust makes?

Inside you get the swoopy dash and lovely bucket seats. Keen eyes will also spot the original Nardi Steering wheel.

I have an exact steering wheel like that which is hung on my wall, just to inspire me. Hopefully i will have a car to put it into, soon enough!

Short shift gear box with RAZO Type200 gear knob. Sabir also has some retro dials mounted in the dash to tell him what his car is doing.

Lovely aint she? Time well spent this weekend shooting this beast. A very big Thank You to Sabir Esufaly for letting me shoot his car and to Razali Iyne for introducing me to Sabir. Hope you enjoyed the post.
